Prolonged exposure to certain types of mould can cause severe allergic reactions and long term neurological effects. Exposure to high levels of certain moulds may also cause respiratory infections. To the untrained eye, visible mould growth can easily be mistaken for general dust and debris. Mould can be found growing on all types of surfaces including plastic, aluminium and stainless steel, painted surfaces, insulation and filters.
Undertaking activities that disturb the mould, particularly washing mouldy coils, can cause an increase in airborne microbial contamination. This can pose a risk to a person’s health and cause problems for the HVAC system.
If mould is suspected within an air conditioning system, contact your local licensed Sanitair HVAC Hygienist 1800 130 168
Bunbury is a port city in Western Australia, south of Perth, and is known as the City of Three Waters because it is surrounded on three sides by water; the Indian Ocean, lovely Koombana Bay and the Leschenault Inlet, and as such is considered an acquatic playground offering a huge selection of excellent natural attractions, vibrant cafes, wineries and breweries, paddock to plat food, endless beaches, untouched forest, and a mass of excellent accommodation options that will entice you to stay for a while. It is known for wild bottlenose dolphins that often swim close to the beach at Koombana Bay. Nearby tourists can visit the Dolphin Discovery Centre and the tranquil Leschenault Inlet, with calm waters and parkland rich with mangroves and birdlife.
